We've been working on villa concepts since 2008. We believe this is the fastest and most efficient construction to create large-scale residential developments.  This is one of our latest versions to showcase the kind of construction that can be achieved with shipping container building blocks. The spaces can be created extremely fast, and when cladded, it is virtually impossible to know how this was built. 



This is a pure container structure, producing 4 Bedrooms + ensuite bathrooms, Living room, dining room, Kitchen, Storeroom and maid's room. Even the swimming pool and garage are built out of containers! And for extra oomph, we can even add an underground hydroponic farm!|

Shipping containers are the perfect environmentally friendly building blocks. The greenfield solution allows extremely fast, high-quality spaces to be created almost anywhere in the world.

Beach Villa Concept

We wanted to create a cool, contemporary hotel that would be iconic. The funky stained glass facade would wash the building's open entrance space with a kaleidoscope of colours during the day and at night, providing a unique space for the guest to unwind and socialize. The rooms, built with containers, are placed on the back and support the entrance structure. 




Rubix Hotel

We love large-scale applications with shipping containers and modular construction. In this concept, we explored building an entire university campus out of shipping containers.

The XL36 Villa Concept emerged from our commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary residential design. At Smart Box Industries LLC, we continuously strive to innovate and redefine efficient living spaces. With the Sun Villa, we aimed to create a luxurious yet sustainable home that exemplifies our advancements in modular construction. Leveraging the XL36 module, which enhances the dimensions of traditional shipping containers, we have crafted a spacious, light-filled villa that meets modern lifestyle needs. Our goal was to demonstrate how intelligent design and advanced building techniques can coexist to create homes that are not only beautiful but also environmentally conscious.

The Sun Villa stands as a testament to cutting-edge modular construction, featuring:

- XL36 Modules: Six custom-designed modules that provide greater width and height for expansive interiors.
- Energy Efficiency: Fully insulated walls and UV-filter windows to ensure a sustainable and comfortable living environment.

Office That Fits in Your Garden

 Sole DXB is an annual footwear, music, art, and lifestyle festival that takes place in the Dubai Design District.  The third  festival occurred on November 14 and 15, 2014 and was the first event of any kind to be held in the Dubai Design District.

The event was designed to pay tribute to Al Diriyah’s historical importance, reflect the rich heritage, architecture of Saudi Arabia and celebrating the opening of Saudi to the global community.

Project comprises of Hybrid structures using shipping containers and steel structures.
The space is developed as an Innovation Hub for the Dubai Police HQ.

Sole DXB is an annual footwear, music, art, and lifestyle festival that takes place in the Dubai Design District. This was the entrance to their first event designed by the client architect.

DP World created an innovation centre to promote the port operations and the technologies that are used to operate one of the best ports in the world. The innovation centre was to be placed in Kite beach, Dubai for a 10 day exhibition.

Heiniken was promoting its new product, Ice Cold, across multiple sporting events in the UAE. They designed a closed shipping container bar, maintaining a 5 degree celcius temperatue and could be relocated easily.

The project required Smart Box to build a G+2 viewing deck and garages for the go-carts in Yas Marina go-cart track. The viewing deck will host both general audience and VIP guests to have a clear view of the entire race track. The Ground floor garages were housed in the containers and provided a place for easy repair and storage of the cart

we create a café for the Big Five exhibtion in World Trade Centre, Dubai, Smart Box designed and built a container café to showcase the potential of modular construction with shipping containers. The structure was designed to be a café for all the vistiors to experience life inside the container and showcase Smart Box capabilites.

This project was the relocation and upcycling of 4 F&B outlets that Smart Box designed and manufactured for Emaar in the Boulevard, Downtown Dubai.

Modern modular technology meets Arabic architectural concepts, the D3 Pocket Park is a sight for sore eyes. Vertically placed 40’ containers form wind towers which punctuate individual clusters housing D3 offices as well as other service and retail spaces.The project spans a footprint of 1,877 square metres (G + 1) and houses galleries, workshops, stores, cafés, multi-purpose facilities, rental spaces, prayer room and restaurants.

In5 Design

The client wanted to create a sample of their 1, 2 and 3 Bed room apartments along with their sales centre right next to their development.

The client wanted to build an adventure tower. Seeking an innovative and dynamic approach to adventure tourism they used 5 X20ft containers were used for zip lining and 40ft container was used for mountain climbing.

Dibba Mountain Park Adventure Unit

For Soundstorm 2023 in KSA, we collaborated with MDL Beast to create an innovative live broadcasting unit for MDL Beast Radio. Utilizing 4x 20ft HC containers, we developed a complex structure featuring a deck area and staircase, providing a dynamic and engaging space for live broadcasts during the event.

Our client, Fitout Bureau Interiors, an esteemed interior design studio, tasked us with creating a new branch for Sanderson's  located at Police Academy Park - Ripe Market. The project involved constructing a dining building using 5x 40ft HC containers and a kitchen building using 4x 40ft HC containers, resulting in a dynamic and inviting space for dining.

For our client Dubai Properties, we delivered custom container-based sales centre units across their Serena and Mudon developments. Using 8 modified containers, we created functional, welcoming spaces that served as key customer touchpoints for homebuyers in these vibrant communities.

The Sun Villa is a groundbreaking residential concept developed by Smart Box Industries to redefine modular living.
